Howard Circle of Friends Senior Adult Day Program

The Howard Circle of Friends Senior Adult Day Program is a partnership between the Alzheimer’s Association and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville. By definition, adult day services are planned programs of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health related services. Such services offer benefits to both participants and their caregivers. Not only do adult day services provide older adults an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation, but also they also give caregivers a much-needed break in which to attend to personal needs, or simply rest and relax.

At Circle of Friends, care is provided by a full-time program supervisor and program assistant, as well as trained volunteers. The program provides a safe, supportive environment for senior adults with memory loss and/or physical problems.
